Bill Meredith
is a nationally-recognized consultant to the financial services industry and provides
consulting services to all sizes of urban, suburban, and community institutions.
Bill is a specialist in practical, performance-oriented strategic planning for banking
companies and building long-term value for shareholders.
Prior to joining Cass Bettinger & Associates in 1995, Bill spent ten years with
Alex Sheshunoff Management Services where he established a consulting practice and
was Senior Consultant and Director of Consulting. Bill’s own consulting activities
for banks included primarily strategic planning, but also included facilitating
High Performance Affiliation group meetings for bank CEOs. He also designed course
material for, taught at and managed the week-long school, Managing The Lending Function.
Before starting his consulting career, Bill worked in financial institutions for
20 years. He spent most of his banking career with Huntington National Bank and
Huntington Bancshares in Columbus, Ohio. At Huntington, Bill served in a broad range
of responsibilities, from branch activities to affiliate bank supervision. After
Huntington, Bill joined InterFirst Corporation, Dallas, Texas where he supervised
affiliate bank activities before joining Alex Sheshunoff in 1985.
When not consulting with clients, Bill enjoys the outdoor activities around Austin,
is involved with volunteer work and the visual and performing arts in Austin. Bill
is also a Master Diver and organizes and leads SCUBA diving expeditions to remote
areas of the world.
